Wilma Jeanne Novosel, 92, was called to be with the Lord on Friday, December 12th, 2025. She was born October 9th,1933 in
New Bedford, Pennsylvania, the daughter of Frank and Mary (Kuzma) Yankle.
Wilma moved to Youngstown, Ohio during her childhood years where she attended Sacred Heart School. She later attended and graduated from East High School in Youngstown, Ohio. Wilma then went on to attain her accreditation as a licensed practical nurse, working at Saint Elizabeth's Hospital in Youngstown Ohio. Wilma was the most compassionate and caring person you could ever know. Her desire to help others with her soft words, kind heart, and selfless actions proved she truly knew what her calling was when she chose to become a nurse. She was married to Peter Joseph Novosel Sr. on May 2nd, 1959 and together they shared more than 53 years of marriage. Wilma and her family were members of Saint Nicholas Catholic Church in Struthers, Ohio until they moved to Sugarloaf Key, Florida in 1981. Once there, Wilma and her husband attended Saint Peter the Fisherman Catholic Church, in Big Pine Key. In 1984 they decided it was time for a change yet again, and moved to
Cape Coral, Florida. During their time here they were longtime members of Saint Andrew's Catholic Church.
Wilma fell in love with her tropical flowers in the Keys, especially the frangipani and hibiscus. She loved them so much that she brought several plantings with her so that she could enjoy them here in Cape Coral. Wilma was employed at Cape Coral Hospital until the day she retired. She then stayed home taking care of her husband and enjoying family gatherings. Family meant the world to Wilma, she wanted nothing more than for her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren to be happy, healthy and want for nothing. She would always go above and beyond, not only for family, but for friends as well. She enjoyed going to lunches and movies with "the girls." There was always a funny story to be told after one of their outings..
Wilma is survived by her loving daughter Dianne M. Johnson of Cape Coral, son Peter J. Novosel Jr. (Amanda) of Cape Coral , Four grandchildren: Peter J. Novosel III, Robert J. Hennessey, Christa Wilbor, and Nicholas M. Novosel. Seven great-grandchildren: Kaden, Kyla, Robert, Mariah, Arabella, Jayce, and Emily. Also surviving are many nieces and nephews.

Remembering Wilma, A Beautiful Soul and Spirit
Your soul is resting peacefully in heaven now. So many lives have been touched and blessed by you during your time here on earth as a nurse, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. You will always be cherished for your loving laughter and being the person in the room who was overflowing with warmth. You were always the one who everyone would gravitate to. Every soul you touched has truly been shaped in some way by you. A truly selfless individual who never asked anything from others, and would always put her family's needs above her own. Wilma will forever be our beautiful Angel, watching over and guiding us through our lives. We love and miss her, but know she will be in our hearts forever
