Wilma J. Ridgway, 91, of Marion, passed away Tuesday, September 9, 2025 at Parkway Manor in Marion, IL.
Wilma was raised in Herrin and Energy. She was a bookkeeper and salesperson for several companies throughout Illinois.
Wilma was a member of Christian Covenant Church in Carterville.
Wilma was born May 12, 1934 in Energy, IL to David Leon & Laura Jean (Sellars) Horn.
Wilma married Wallace L. Ridgway on December 30, 1993 in Paducah, KY. He preceded her in death on September 15. 2006.
She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Bob & Kathy Prather of Carbondale, IL; grandchildren, Angel & Matt Cox of Carterville, DeAnn Hosmon of Herrin, IL, Jason & Bobbie Hosmon of Clayton, OH, Sarah Hosmon of Herrin, Ryan & Autumn Prather of Marion, Amanda & Steve Clifford of Foley, AL; great grandchildren, Austin, Zoe and Maddie, Kaitlin, Mikaela, Dylan, Carly, T.J., Ethan Jack II, Roman, Zane, Eden, Dakota and Abbey; great-great grandchildren, August and Luka; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Jaki Hosman; son, Michael W. Prather; husband; former husband, Jack Prather; parents; sister, Barbara Myrick-Pisoni; two brothers, Charles Horn and Richard Horn.
Funeral Services will be 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, September 16, 2025 at Meredith-Waddell Funeral Home in Herrin with Rev. Ralph Brandon officiating. Visitation will be 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Interment will be at Egyptian Memorial Gardens in Energy. Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, P. O. Box 6704, Hagerstown, MD, 21741; envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
