Wilma Dean Kelsey Sexton , age 88, died Friday September 22, 2023 at the Cal Turner Specialty Care and Rehab.
Wilma was born in Allen County Kentucky on May 30, 1935 to the late Dewey Kelsey and Iris Pruitt Kelsey. Wilma was the wife of the late Walter Burx Sexton. They were married on June 16, 1955 and celebrated 47 years of marriage prior to his death in 2002.
She is survived by her children: Jeffery Burx Sexton (Beth) of Scottsville, KY, Cynthia Sexton of Brentwood, TN, and Susan Sexton Baker (Richard) of Louisville, KY. She is also survived by four grandchildren: Alexandra Anne Baker of Los Altos, CA, Elizabeth Kelsey Baker of Philadelphia, PA, John Burx Sexton of Scottsville, KY and James Levi Sexton (Gracie) of Scottsville, KY as well as a multitude of nieces and nephews.
Preceding Wilma in death were her siblings: Lloyd Kelsey (Adele), Edna Kelsey Sadler (Bob), Virginia Kelsey Paris (Wayne) and Luther Kelsey (Sydney).
Wilma’s final days were spent at Cal Turner Rehabilitation Center where she had many staff and resident friends, who lovingly watched and cared for her.
Visitation for Mrs. Sexton will be from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM Saturday September 30, 2023 at the Scottsville Baptist Church.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday September 30, 2023 at 1:00 PM at the Scottsville Baptist Church with burial to follow in the Crescent Hill Cemetery.
Memorial donations may be made to the Scottsville Baptist Church, Scottsville, KY.
