Wilma Williams Strickland

Our precious mother, Wilma Williams Strickland, 95, of Swannanoa, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Thursday, November 20, 2025.
Wilma was born on May 3, 1930, in Buncombe County to the late Theo and Vesti Williams. She was a long-time member of Mountain View Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband after 73 years of marriage, they are together again, Fred C. Strickland; sister, Shirley Roper (Bill); brothers, Fred Williams (Betty), George Williams (Lois), and Delmar Williams (Dot); and granddaughter, Catherine Brantley.
Left to cherish her memories are her daughters, Sherry (Johnny) Love, Pat (Foster) Massey, Wanda (Steve) Kiser, and Carolyn Glovier; sisters, Thelma Dotson and Faye Hall; brother, Raymond Williams (Teensie); ten grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; and four great-great grandchildren.
The family will receive friends on Monday, November 24, 2025, from 11:30am to 1:00pm at Harwood Home for Funerals. A celebration of life service will immediately follow at 1:00pm at the funeral home with Pastor Brent Bolick officiating. The burial will be in the Western Carolina State Veterans Cemetery.
