Wilmer H. Gibson Jr. was born on November 18, 1960, to Wilmer H. and Helen L. Gibson Sr. in Dover, Delaware. He departed this life on March 2, 2024. Wilmer attended Dover High School and graduated from James H. Groves. He enlisted in the United States Army and graduated Basic Training on September 20, 1978, from the 5th Battalion. With his parents, he was an entrepreneur and was part owner of the family Trucking Company. He also owned and operated a lawn care business. He was an extremely generous man and cared deeply for his family.
Wilmer was preceded in death by his parents Wilmer and HelenGibson Sr., and sisters Deborah Cale, Delemia Daniels, and Florandia Adams.
He leaves to cherish his memory, his children Calisa Armstrong of Savannah, Georgia and Wilmer H. Gibson III of Phoenix, Arizona; sister Doretha Cale of Magnolia and brother, Donald Robbins of Magnolia, Delaware; 4 grandchildren, and a host of relatives and friends.
A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, April 6, 2024 at 11 am at Union Baptist Church, 883 Lincloln Drive, Dover, DE.

My mother dated Wilmer off and on for YEARS, so in a way....he was SOMETIMES like a dad. He was silly and ALWAYS found ways to make me laugh. I will TRULY miss you "Goober"...a personal joke, I KNOW he gets it.
