Our dear mother Winnie Louise Autry passed into heaven peacefully on October 9, 2024, in Flowood, MS.

She dearly loved her children Michael and John and their wives both of whom are named Robin. God also gave her five Grandchildren. Brandi Reiss (Ben), Bethany Robinette (Taylor) Christopher Ricks (Ann) Rebecca Cox (Wes) and Shelby Autry. He further blessed her with Seven Great Grandchildren. Gray, Connor, Ellie, Seth, Chesleigh, Nolan, and Jacob. She wrung joy from every moment spent with them. For the last two years she has spoken with yearning of the day she would be reunited with her beloved husband James.

 She was born on January 29th 1943 in Benton County Ms to John and Claudia Renick. She had two brothers Alton and Darryl all of whom had predeceased her. 

 After high school, she attended Blue Mountain College and achieved her degree in Elementary education. She later Achieved her master’s degree from Mississippi State University. The young family moved to Forest Ms in 1966 where she began her lifelong career of teaching 2nd grade mathematics at Forest Elementary School. 

 There will be a visitation at Ott and Lee Funeral Home in Forest on Saturday at 11am until 2pm. She will then travel on Monday to her childhood home to Pine Grove Baptist Church, 6777 MS. Hwy. 5 Hickory Flat Ms. 38663. There will be a 1pm visitation followed by a celebration of her life at 2pm. Burial will be at Bethel Cemetery. No graveside services, the family will remain at the church to visit with friends.
