Winona G. LaBar, beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away peacefully at her home on December 9, 2025, surrounded by her cherished family. She was the wife of the late Ronald H. LaBar, who died March 18, 2022, they were married in 1958
Born the daughter of the late Willis and Anna (Coslar) Singer on February 7, 1941, in Reeder's, Pennsylvania, and was a lifelong resident of Monroe County.
Winona dedicated more than 30 years of her life as a School Bus Driver for the East Stroudsburg School District.
Winona held a passion for life that revealed itself in her simple joys. She had a particular love for Coca-Cola and devoted time to collecting various Coca-Cola memorabilia.
She is survived by her two sons, Ronald and his wife Andrea, and Guy and his wife Karla. Winona took great pride in her family, especially her four grandchildren: Keith LaBar and his wife Candy, Corey LaBar and his wife Britney, Guy LaBar and his wife Anastasia, and Anna Robert and her husband Ryan. In addition, Winona was blessed with great-grandchildren Eric, Noah, Ellianna, Carter, Brody, and Henry Robert, all of whom brought immense joy to her life. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her brother, Willis Singer Jr., her sister, Marion DeHaven, and her granddaughter, Julie LaBar.
At Winona's request, there will be no services at this time; her cremated remains will be buried alongside her husband in the Reeder’s United Methodist Church Cemetery at the convenience of the family. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Bensing-Thomas Funeral Home located at 401 North 5th Street.
Winona's vibrant spirit, warmth, and love for family will forever be cherished by those who knew her.
