Mrs. Wylene Reed Mancil, age 80, of Douglas, Georgia, passed away surrounded by her family on Monday afternoon, May 12, 2025 at Coffee Regional Medical Center following a recent decline in health.
Mrs. Mancil, a Coffee County native, was born August 19, 1944 to the late Will Reed and the late Margaret Pitts Reed. She was a homemaker and an active member of West Ward Church of God.
Mrs. Mancil is survived by her husband of more than 62 years, Billy Mancil of Douglas, Georgia; 2 children: Dewaine Mancil, and wife Christina, of DeLand, Florida, and Deleah Baker, and husband Jon, of Douglas, Georgia; 2 grandchildren: Meagan Hernandez, and husband Gilbert, of Poquoson, Virginia, and Landon Baker of Douglas, Georgia; 1 Sister, Martha Sue Rowell of Screven, Georgia; along with a number of nieces, nephews, and extended family members.
Along with her parents, Mrs. Mancil was preceded in death by 2 brothers: Ralph Reed and R. B. "Bill" Reed.
Mrs. Mancil's family will receive friends on Friday evening, May 16, 2025 from 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM at Ricketson Funeral Home Chapel. She will lie in state at West Ward Church of God on Saturday morning fom 10:00 AM - 11:00 AM. A funeral service will be held to honor Mrs. Mancil's life on Saturday morning, May 17, 2025 at 11:00 AM at West Ward Church of God with Bishop Britt Peavy and Bishop Leroy Spivey officiating. Interment will follow in the Bethany Holiness Baptist Cemetery.
