Wynema Kay Hainley, 87 of
Martinsville, IN went to be with her Lord Jesus on Saturday, March 1st, 2025, surrounded by people who loved and cared for her. She was born to the late Robert Paul Wehner and Delores Evelyn Heflin (Edwards) Wehner on July 5th, 1937, in Elwood, IN.
Kay was a blessing to everyone around her. She was known for her warmth, generosity, strength, and always being there for her family.
She met Raymond "Bud" Hainley through mutual friends and spent the next month talking non-stop until they wed on February 12th,1961. She and Bud were blessed with four ornery children: Rayna Kay Amerine-Bowling (Rick), Rhonda Lynn Hainley, Raymond Daniel Hainley and Rachelle DeEtte Ryan (Andy).
Along with her parents, Kay was proceeded in death by her husband, Raymond Leroy Hainley on April 30th, 1990, and daughter, Rhonda Lynn Hainley on April 18th, 1982.
Her greatest pleasure was spending time with her beloved grandchildren and great grandchildren they were undoubtedly her pride and joy. She loved teaching them to sew, paint, garden, work puzzles and enjoy books.
In addition to her children, she is survived by three brothers, Robert "Keith" Wehner of Bluffton, IN, David Wehner (Demia) of Louisville, KY, and Danny Wehner of Anderson, IN, and sister, Debbie Wehner of Anderson, IN.
Wynema Kay loved her hometown of Martinsville. She held various jobs including nursing, and working at Indiana Bank & Trust and Culligan, though when asked what her greatest accomplishment was, she replied, "owning and operating Dransfield's Office Supply with my husband."
Over the years, she was active in various churches including, Pleasant Grove, First Baptist and Maple Grove. She loved serving with Weekday Religious Education, Walk to Emmaus, and being "Posey a Pot" the clown at multiple functions.
Kay is now at peace after a long battle with Alzheimer's, dementia, chronic pain and declining health. Her life is a testimony of her faith, beliefs and love of God and her legacy will be forever cherished by those who knew and loved her.
Kay's final arrangements have been entrusted to Neal & Summers Funeral and Cremation Center in Martinsville. The family will be hosting a Celebration of Life Memorial Service, which will be announced later as family can gather.
