Frank Hainley Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Aug. 21, 2025.
Frank Charles Hainley Sr, 67, of Dagsboro, Delaware, passed away on August 16, 2025. Frank was born on August 5, 1958 in Camp Lejeune, North Carolina. He spent his formative years living in Turkey and Germany, ultimately calling Laurel, Maryland, home for most of his life. After graduating from Laurel High School, he attended Lincoln Technical Institute. Frank initially worked as a mechanic but found his true calling as a mail carrier with the United States Postal Service, where he dedicated 32 years of service before retiring in 2018. Following his retirement, he moved to Delaware.

Frank was known for being funny and kind-hearted. He had a way of making people laugh and smile. He was an avid sports fan who cheered passionately for the Orioles, Commanders (Redskins), Capitals, and followed NASCAR. He enjoyed bowling and loved to garden. To those who knew him, Frank was more than a neighbor; he was a true friend, always ready with a listening ear or a vegetable from his garden. Frank's friends were more than just companions; they were family to him.

Frank was preceded in death by his father, Earl Hainley; his mother, Joyce Kirk; his stepfather, Ed Kirk; his stepsister, Kandi Kirk; and his beloved dog and best friend, Cody. He is lovingly remembered by his son, Frank Charles Hainley Jr (Kimberly); his grandchildren, Bryce and Taylor Hainley; his sisters Maryann Thomas (Al Spekis) and Tracy Miciche (Gary); stepsisters, Kimberly Hess (Ken), Kristina Klockner (Dave), and Kerrie Chamberlain (Todd); and 16 nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date to honor Frank's memory.

We met Frank when he moved here and started Red Pin Bowling. Always had a smile and was fun to be around.
May he be in no pain and with his Mom having a grand time. You will be missed.

RIP Frank, you are with your Mom and we know she is taking care of you. You were a wonderful bowling partner who always had something funny or positive to cheer us on. Then there was always your favorite saying, That Damn 10 Pin or Man Overboard. Our bowling friends will know what I am saying. You were our friend who will be dearly missed but never forgotten. Your memory will forever be in our hearts. Our condolences to Frank's family. Sue & Dottie

To the family. Frank was a dear new friend I too moved to Delaware recently. He will be missed. I really enjoyed talking about Germany and how we both lived on the same street and the orchard. Bye for now!

He was, and will alway be my friend.
Be at Peace my Brother.
"so long"
Frank would laugh at that.

Remember that you were a friend of mine"
