Yajaira E Pena Diaz

Yajaira Elizabeth Peña DIaz, passed away unexpectedly on July 15, 2023. She was only 42 years old. Her family is deeply saddened by her sudden death. Yajaira was born on March 10, 1981.
Yajaira is survived by her mother Reyna Peña; her daughter Gianna Marie Diaz & forever remembered by her siblings Sarah Peña and Emmanuel Peña.
Yajaira was born in La Vega, Dominican Republic. She was only 13 years old when she moved to the United States with her mother and siblings. She grew up in New Brunswick, NJ and attended New Brunswick High School where she met some of her dearest friends.
Yajaira had the biggest heart and the most beautiful smile. She was a private and quiet person, but also very witty and fun! She was fearless and independent, yet sensitive and incredibly compassionate. She loved to dance, the beach, cooking, watching movies, and true crime documentaries. She was strong-willed and stubborn, but those traits defined Yajaira. They were part of who she was, and her strength undoubtedly helped her deal with life's challenges.
Yajaira was a beautiful person inside and out. Her smile was so stunning it would light up the whole room. She cared so deeply for the people around her. She was so kind and passionate. She made an impact on many lives. She will be forever missed. Until we meet again Gordis.
