Resident of Schaumburg for 8 Years

A Celebration of Life for Ylayali Rosado, 67, will be Saturday, October 18 from 2:00pm – 6:00pm, with a service beginning at 2:00pm at Michaels Funeral Home and Cremation Care, 800 S. Roselle Road, Schaumburg.

Yali was born May 29, 1958, in Belize City, Belize to the late Mauro Alamilla and Rosalie Alamilla nee Guerra, and she passed away September 28, 2025 in Elk Grove Village, Illinois.

Yali truly lived life to the fullest. She embraced each day with laughter, joy, and a heart wide open. Her smile lit up every room, and her laughter had a way of lifting spirits. She found beauty in the little things and never missed a chance to share a kind word or a good laugh.

She was married to her beloved Antonio for over 48 years, and together they built a life full of love, adventure, and deep friendship. Their bond was something rare and beautiful, rooted in devotion and shared dreams.

Yali loved to read and always had a book close by. She loved to be surround by the ocean breeze, and she found peace in her garden, surrounded by the flowers she tended with care. Calla lilies were her favorite, a reflection of the quiet elegance and strength she carried through life.

She also had a deep love for travel, especially cruises to the ABC Islands and traveling back home to her beloved Belize. The ocean breeze, the vibrant colors, and the rhythm of island life always brought her joy. Whether at home or exploring new places, Yali brought warmth, light, and a sense of wonder to everything she did.

Loving wife of Antonio; beloved mother of Antonio E. (Martha) Rosado, Vanessa (Robert) Villegas, and Julian (Lauren) Rosado; cherished grandmother of Lily, Francisco, Emilia, Noah, and Carter; adored aunt of many nieces and nephews; dear friend and neighbor to many. She is preceded in death by her brothers Emido and Maclovio Alamilla. She will be missed by all those whose lives she touched.
