Yvette June Capps, age 83, of Canton Township, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, August 26, 2025, at Altercare of Nobles Pond.
She was born on March 6, 1942, in Mechanicstown, Ohio, to the late Jack and Marge (King) McKenzie, and remained a lifelong resident of the Canton Township community.
Yvette was formerly employed with the Timken Company, but her greatest joy in life was found in her role as a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Billy Capps, who passed in 1991, as well as her parents.
She will be deeply missed by her daughters, Brenda (Ron) Shaw, Billie Jo (Charlie) Donley, Becky Pruitt, and Donna (Steve) Hunt; 12 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; her brother, Jim (Beth Ann) McKenzie; and many cherished nieces and nephews.
Her memory will forever live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
Friends and family may call on Friday, August 29, 2025, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Kreighbaum-Sanders Funeral Home. A funeral service honoring Yvette’s life will be held on Saturday, August 30, 2025, at 12:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Evergreen Memorial Gardens.
