Pastor Yvette Gonzalez-Carter, 67, of Largo, FL, passed away gracefully on August 31, 2025, at home, surrounded by those who loved her most. Yvette was born on March 25, 1958, in Bronx, NY, to Carmen and Antonio Perez. Her passion in life was ministry and helping others. She touched countless lives, making everyone she met feel seen, loved, and valued. Above all, she cherished her family with fierce and unwavering devotion. Her legacy of compassion, strength, and faith will live on in the many lives she impacted. She truly left a blazing mark on this world. Yvette is survived by her husband, Pastor Michael Carter; her children, Peter Vasquez, Roberto Vasquez, Claryvette Garcia, and Miguel Garcia; three daughters-in-law; one son-in-law; sixteen grandchildren; and one beloved grandpup; two great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Carmen and Antonio Perez, and her grandchild, Xylena A. Vasquez. A celebration of life will be held at Victory Fellowship Church on Thursday, September 11, 2025, at 10:30 a.m. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Victor Newman Ministries to continue Yvette's life's work of helping others. The LORD is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? The LORD is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid? -Psalm 27:1
