Zacarias Amaro

Zacarias Amaro, 91, of Toms River, NJ, passed away peacefully on Friday, November 28, 2025, surrounded by his loving family. Born in Tarma, Peru, Zacarias began his career serving as a mechanic in the Peruvian Air Force and later in the United States Air Force. After settling in Ocean County more than 50 years ago, he built a long career in construction and was known for his craftsmanship and reliability. He also had a lifelong interest in woodworking, carpentry, and classic cars, and spent many hours restoring his Pontiac GTO. He is reunited in Heaven with his son, Cesar Amaro; his parents, Julio and Graciela (Alvarez) Amaro; his brother, Alejandro Alberto Amaro; his former wife, Beatriz Amaro; and their daughter, Beatriz Amaro. Zacarias is survived by his daughters, Betty and Yolanda Amaro, and their mother, Blanca Amaro; his brothers, Hector and Cesar Amaro; his eight grandchildren, Jorge, Piero, Jessica, America, Vanessa, Diego and his wife Erin, Ana, and Robert; and his two great-grandchildren, Luca and Arlo. A Memorial gathering will take place on Friday, December 5, 2025 from 3pm-5pm at the Carmona Bolen Home for Funerals, 412 Main St., Toms River, NJ.
