Zachery Thomas Brannock, 59, passed away unexpectedly on Monday August 5, 2024 at Grand Strand Medical Cetner in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. He was born on October 26, 1964 in Statesville, North Carolina.
Zack was a hardworking man with a heart of gold and a zest for life. In his younger years and especially in High School, Zack excelled at any sport he put his mind too. He especially loved football, played on the tennis team and was All Conference in Wrestling. Later in life, Zack took up fishing and golfing. In his free time, Zack relished time spent with family and making memories with friends. He enjoyed long walks on the beach where he could reflect and jamming out to the Grateful Dead. Above all else, Zack loved his family with his whole heart. He will be deeply missed.
Left to cherish Zack's memory are his father, Lloyd "Dale" Brannock and his companion, Betty Willard of Myrtle Beach; sister, Shaun Smith, her late husband, Michael; nephew, Harrison Smith all of Wilkesboro, North Carolina; several fraternity brothers; and many supportive friends and neighbors.
Zack is reunited in passing with his mother, Zora Webster Brannock.
A Celebration of Zack's life will be held privately.
