Today, we gather our hearts in memory of a bright light that shone too briefly in our world, Zahmir Alonso Mobbs. Born on January 7, 2021, in Hinds County, Mississippi, Zahmir was a joyous little soul who captured the hearts of everyone he met in Forest, MS. He was only a short sprout in time, leaving us on January 26, 2025, but what a wonderful journey those four years were!

Zahmir had a big appetite for life—he loved to eat delicious treats and play with all his friends! His laughter filled the air as he played games and had fun adventures, especially during his days at Kiddy College, where he made memories and friendships that will always be cherished.

He is lovingly remembered by his family. Zahmir is survived by his maternal grandparents, Richard and Deborah Havard, who adored him immensely, and his maternal great-grandmother, Bernice Traxler, who always had a twinkle in her eye when she spoke of her beloved great-grandson. He is also cherished by his maternal great-grandfather, Gerald Mobbs, who shared stories from yesteryears that filled Zahmir's imagination with wonder.

Zahmir will forever be missed by his two brothers, Ja' Quan Mobbs and Graeson Mobbs, who played and laughed alongside him every day, as well as his sister, Elekza Mobbs, who filled his little life with sisterly love and shared secrets. His special aunt, Tosha Burkes, was always there with hugs and support, showering Zahmir with love that knows no bounds. Together with a whole bunch of aunts, uncles, and cousins, they will carry his spirit in their hearts forever.

Zahmir may have left this world too soon, but his light will continue to shine in the hearts of everyone who knew and loved him. His services are pending at this time, and we will celebrate the joy he brought into our lives. Always loved, and never forgotten, Zahmir Alonso Mobbs will remain a sweet part of our memories.
