Brothers Eric D'Wayne Bailey, age 27 and Zamion Patrick Tre'Michael Bailey, age 22 both of Peoria, IL passed away on Wednesday, June 2, 2021.
Eric was born on September 26, 1993 and Zamion was born on July 29, 1998 both in Peoria, IL to Patsy Ann Jackson and Eric Delane Bailey. They were both educated in the Memphis City School in Memphis, TN. Eric honorably served the US Marine Corp for two years. He had moved to Memphis, TN and worked at Jordan Aluminum before returning to Peoria, IL. He was an Indianapolis Colts football fan.
Zamion worked in Olive Branch, MS for a while at William Sonoma as a warehouse associate before moving back to Peoria, IL. He was an Atlanta Falcons football fan.
Eric and Zamion were kind and loving young men who loved their family and would do anything for them. Eric was Zamion's big brother and keeper. You'd see one and then you'd see the other; they were inseparable. Both were jokesters of the family. They both loved playing videogames and basketball.
Eric and Zamion leave to cherish their precious memories their parents; Patsy A. Jackson of Memphis, TN and Eric Bailey of Peoria, IL; maternal grandparents, Annie Jackson of Peoria, IL and Isaac Strong of Detroit, MI; paternal grandmother, Zola McLeod-Bailey of Peoria, IL; brothers, Reuben Winters, Corey Fleming and Jacoby Russell all of Peoria, IL; sisters, RoShaunte Jones of Memphis, TN, Keaira Russell, Shajuane Winters and Cierra Jackson all of Peoria, IL; aunts, Linda (Omeretires) Barnes, Arleatha Jackson, Cynthia Jackson, Bertha Tolliver, Sandra Bailey and Sheila (Robert) Bryant; an uncle, Patrick Jackson; god-mother, Christina Giles, god-grandmother, Elizabeth Harmon; god-children, Syriah McMillian and Mahogany Walls; special cousins, Monizsa Jackson and Bianca Paige; and a host of nieces, nephews, other cousins and friends. They are preceded in death by their grandfather, Clyde McLeod; uncles, Michael Jackson, Lewis Bailey, William Bailey, Gayland Bailey and Rodrico McLeod.
A Memorial service for both Eric and Zamion will be held at 11 am on Saturday, June 12, 2021 at Sovereign Grace Baptist Church with a visitation at 10 am. Pastor Alvin Riley, Sr., will bring words of comfort to the family.

The service will be live streamed on Simons Mortuary's Website or Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/Simons-Mortuary-232095303487150 promptly AT THE TIME OF THE SERVICE.
Due to Covid-19 restrictions, social distancing and attendance limits will be observed.
In accordance with the Illinois Department of Public Health, Funerals are limited to no more than 50% of the capacity of the sanctuary or less.
To be consistent with recommendations from the National Funeral Directors Association (NFDA), funeral home directors have been instructed and should follow CDC guidelines on gatherings, including those directly related to funerals, visitations, or graveside services. Funerals are limited to no more than 50% of the decedent's immediate family members.
*In an effort to mitigate the spread of COVID-19, we ask that everyone in attendance: wear a face mask and refrain from hugging, kissing and shaking hands (as hard as it is to see someone you care about and not touch them).
*It is our responsibility as a Funeral Directors, to do everything we can to advise families in order to honor our beloved Families and to keep everyone as safe as possible. The sanctuary can socially distance and seat 50% of the capacity of the church. All others will be able to flow through prior to beginning of the service.
