Zander Phillip Sawyers was born to Kevin and Jennie Sawyers in Atlanta, GA on July 16, 2014. Zander faced a lot of challenges in his life, but he never complained about anything. He was aware that he would face obstacles before he came to earth and chose to come anyway. He was truly loved by every person who ever met him. He loved to do "arts and craps" with his sister, Roxie. He played video games and legos with his brother, Max. Maylee loved to make her brother laugh and take selfies together. Isaac created fun music to help Zander do things he didn't always want to do. He also took him for rides listening to loud music with the windows rolled down. He has such a special relationship with each sibling. He was his mom's bestie and went everywhere with her. He was his dad's snuggle buddy and was always so excited when Dad would come home early from work! He was "so incited to be bathtized" this year, but was too perfect for this earthly experience. Zander passed away on April 9, 2022 in Phoenix, AZ. Zander loved to help whenever he was able, and he continues to bless the lives of others with his passing. Zander has overcome all of the challenges he faced and is playing basketball and swimming in heavenly pools right now. He will be missed more than we can express. We will forever be grateful to our Savior, Jesus Christ, for His atoning sacrifice and for the knowledge that we will be together again as an eternal family. His love and legacy will live in our hearts forever.

Funeral services are Friday, April 15, 2022 at 11 AM, preceded by a visitation from 9 – 10:30 AM at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 32584 N. Gary Road, San Tan Valley, AZ 85143. Arrangements by Gilbert Memorial Park.
