Zane Tristan Coolidge

Officer Zane Tristan Coolidge was born on June 20, 1995, in Phoenix AZ, the son of Debbie Coolidge. Zane graduated from Thunderbird High School, Class of 2013 before graduating from Arizona State University in 2019.
Since high school, Zane knew he wanted to be a police officer. Once he graduated, Summa Cum Laude from Arizona State University with his Bachelor's in Criminal Justice he joined the Phoenix Police Department, where he honorably served his community for the last five years. In addition to serving as a police officer, he also served as a field training officer in the Mountain View Precinct where he was a valuable example for officers in training.
Zane met the love of his life, Kristin, during her time as a nurse for the county jail. She was immediately impressed by his professionalism, compassion and kindness towards everyone he interacted with. With unwavering love they were married in December of 2022 and recently welcomed their daughter in April of 2024.
Zane was shot in the line of duty on September 3, 2024. Although he fought his best to stay with us, he succumbed to his injuries on Friday, September 6, 2024.
When Zane was off duty he enjoyed computer gaming, working out at the gym, playing the boardgame Risk, rewatching Game of Thrones but most of all, his favorite thing was spending time with his family.
Zane is survived by his wife, Kristin Coolidge; daughter; their dog, Annie; mother, Debbie Coolidge; twin brother and sisters; nieces and nephew; mother and father-in-law; brothers and sister-in-law and all those he loved and who loved him in return.
The family would like to thank all of the tender love and care given during this trying time. Especially the Banner University Hospital staff, the Phoenix Police Department, surrounding law enforcement agencies, and several charitable organizations supporting law enforcement.
A funeral ceremony will be held on Wednesday, September 18, 2024, at 10:00 a.m. at the Dream City Church, 13613 N Cave Creek Rd, Phoenix, AZ. Hansen Desert Hills Mortuary and Cemetery assisted the family. Cremation Rites to be Accorded.
