Zarina Saleem Salik, 89, passed away in Delmar, NY on Saturday, August 23, 2025. She was born in Rawalpindi, India on May 2, 1936 to Ernest Alam and Eunice Shah, and was a beloved sister to her siblings.
She attended Kinnard College in Lahore, Pakistan and received a Masters in Geography. She devoted her life to education and was the Principal at Cathedral School, Church of England in Lahore for almost thirty years.
Zarina was predeceased in death by her son, Shakil Salik, and is survived by her loving husband, Saleem Salik, her sons; Tim and his wife Marian Salik and Ayub Jake and his wife Beena Salik, daughter-inlaw, Moreen Salik, and her grandchildren; Bryan Salik, Rashna Salik, Maryam and Jasper Balbastro, Maya and Mason Bogunovich, Asher and Natalie Salik, Christeen Salik, Karen Salik, and Michelle Salik. She is also survived by her great-granddog, Portia.
