Maxine Baker gained her heavenly wings on February 4, 2025. She was born in Jacksonville, Fl on December 10, 1949, to Marvie and Muriel Hembree. Maxine grew up in the Arlington area of Jacksonville and attended Terry Parker High School, class of 1967.
Maxine started her career as an IT consultant at American TransTech and ended her career in the mortgage industry. Maxine was a volunteer at the Jacksonville Human's Society as she was an avid animal lover.
She was proceeded in death by both her parents, Marvin, and Muriel Hembree. She is survived by her spouse of 30 years, Jack Baker, daughter Heather Rogers, Stepchildren Brian, and Brad Baker, 2 grandchildren Blake Rogers and Preston Baker, 1 sister Susie Blankenbaker, 1 niece Kelli Reep and 1 nephew Steven Avery, along with a lot of other family members and friends.
Maxine's services will be held on Friday, February 21 st at 2pm, with a reception following at 3pm at Patterson's Cremations on Arlington Expressway, address:
In leu of flowers, we are asking for everyone to bring 1 item to donate to the Jacksonville Human's Society for a dog and/or a cat, we will personally deliver these items afterwards.
Please come and celebrate Maxine's life by wearing your favorite football shirt and/or jersey as she was an avid Florida Gator's fan and would not anyone to come in black.
