Zoe Elizabeth Rawlings

Zoe Elizabeth (Buchanan) Rawlings, age 47, of Durant, OK, passed away on Saturday, August 10, 2024 at Methodist Transplant Hospital in San Antonio, TX. Zoe was born on April 5, 1977 in Sherman, TX, to Brian & Elisabeth (Moss) Buchanan.
Zoe grew up and attended school in Durant, graduating from Durant High School in 1995. She was a proud member of the first girl's softball team in Durant, that was started in 1993. Zoe also played basketball and was on the track team.
After high school, she attended Southeastern Oklahoma State University, then later pursued a career as a medical coder for over 20 years.
Zoe loved going to concerts & watching sporting events, especially football, as she was openly an avid Texas Longhorns & Green Bay Packers fan! Anyone that ever met Zoe knows that she had a presence that could never go unnoticed so she will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
Zoe was preceded in death by her grandparents, James & Fern Moss, Gerald & Gwen Buchanan and stepbrother, Jordan Mustafa.
She is survived by her parents, Elisabeth Buchanan, Durant, OK and Brian & Cathie Buchanan, San Antonio, TX; children, Reese Shepeard, Denton, TX, Sam Rawlings, Durant, OK & Avery Rawlings, Durant, OK; sister, Lynn Buchanan, Durant, OK; stepbrothers, Joe & wife Yolanda, Leander, TX, Jason & wife Kim, San Antonio, TX; nieces, Lauren Vela, Jordan Nelson, Kaylee Medina, Karissa Couly, Kara, Kaylee, Katie, Izabella & Khloe Mustafa, Sylvie Couly; nephews, Cade Buchanan, Kassam & JJ Mustafa; great nieces, Mya Buchanan, Violet Medina; great nephews, Colton Medina, numerous cousins, family & friends.
A memorial service will be held, Friday, August 16, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. at First Baptist Church, Durant, OK. The Buchanan family would like to thank all the family & friends that shared their life with Zoe and kindly requests in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the Celebrate Recovery Ministry at First Baptist Church, Durant, OK.
