It has been to long ,sadly will be even longer. Often thinking of you when our birthday rolls along . It would be better if we could have at least one more. I am sorry we couldn't get out of this together.

It's going to be hard to put into words the impact you had in my life. My fondest ones was doing art with you until literally the sun rose and we were fine with that. I loved our walks we took, our talks and your viewpoint on things. It brought light to my perspective on many things. I loved how you didn't take life too seriously and that you lived in every single moment. You were a teacher, a mentor and most of all my beloved friend. Gosh Im the going to miss you! I hope your journey now is showing and giving you all the love you deserved, I hope that finally you see how beautiful, important, magical you truly are and that you are finally free of pain. Thank you for everything, our friendship, your art that's hanging in my house, our memories and the he impact you made in my life. I love you Zoe, forever will

On a bright, glorious summer a decade ago, Zoe road shotgun in my beat up old volvo wagon for our frequent adventures to Keene (and other parts unknown). Always followed by a slice at Amici. We talked about art, music, movies, fond memories, sadness, aspirations, disappointments, and life on life's terms. An unlikely pair - a Florida housewife in her mid-60s at the crossroads of change and a young artist taking a much needed break from Manhattan. Truly magical. Thanks Zoe. See you on the other side my friend in some galaxy or universe. Love Susan

It had been too long since I had seen Zoe and since learning of his passing I have been thinking a lot about those years, it struck me that while most of my memories of that time are difficult to recall every moment with Zoe however trivial are so vivid. From our adolescence into navigating who we were as adults it´s as though I have a photograph. It seems if Zoe was present the light always got in. One of the last memories I recall was a hike together up Gap Mountain. The trail would never be long enough to hold all of Zoe´s stories, but breathlessly he tried, and we laughed that our aging selves would probably have an easier time if we talked less.
The years move faster now, and I always imagined I would run into him on the trail, and we would catch up, I hold to the hope that still is true and in the next life, as in this, Zoe will have much to share.

Although you sometimes felt forgettable - I will never, never forget you. The poetry you wrote me, the watercolor you painted me, my wooden watch ... You are an important piece in my history and I will always be grateful to you for picking a younger me to share your space with.
Every color on that canvas, always.
