Zona Glaser Obituary
Joy was born on April 7, 1931 in O'Donnell, TX to Cortez Burkett Kirby & Ewell Kirby. She married Jimmie Eli Schooler on November 11, 1947 in Hobbs, NM. He preceded her in death on January 1, 1990. She also married Robert "Bob" Glaser.
Joy was a homemaker. She loved fishing, especially salt-water fishing. She loved riding motorcycles, collecting dolls, especially Native Americans ones. She enjoyed sewing, crosswords puzzles, working in her yard and flower garden, but especially reading in her free time.
Joy is survived by 1 daughter: Sherry McCormick (Glenn), 1 son: Ronny Schooler (Janice); 9 grandchildren: Randi Gibbs (Daniel), Traci Anderson, Kaci Van Coutren (Sterling), Jacki Lopez, Farrah Freeman (Adam), Aaron Schooler (Alyssa), Jimmie Schooler (Abby), Clint Schooler, & Kelly Schooler; 15 great grandchildren; and 2 great great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and husbands, Joy was preceded in death by her son: Bruce Schooler; twin brother: John Roy Kirby; sister: Lucille Poindexter; and brother: Gene Roy Kirby.
