Zondra Lee Heugly Peterson Barth, "Z" passed away October 1, 2025 at her home in Phoenix, Arizona. Born on April 4 1942, in Salt Lake City, Utah. She was a devoted mother, grandmother and friend to many.

Those who knew Z will remember her for her passion to help everyone around her, especially the elderly in her community. Her journey on this earth was one marked by her being a devout Judeo-Christian. She retired in 2006 after over thirty-five years of dedication working at Mountain Bell Phone Company.

Although her physical presence may no longer grace our lives, her spirit will continue to inspire and uplift us. May her memory be a blessing, and may we carry forth her legacy of kindness, generosity, and love in all that we do.

Z is survived by her children, David (Dana) Peterson, Justin Peterson, Kimmelle Peterson, and Tiffany DeElena, grandchildren: Travis (Jenny) Peterson, Desiree Peterson, Caleb Pulido, Franque Phillips, and Bodhi DeElena, sister Nancy Kitchell and brother Paul (Wendy) Heugly, nephews Eric Heugly and Towner Kitchell, nieces Melinda Stocking, Michelle Nicol, and Leslie Green.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Durwood and Naomi Heugly, sisters, Helen McKnight and Marcia Scardigli.

At Z's request, services are private. In lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of Zondra can be made to Phoenix Fire Foundation, 602-534-0953, phoenixfirefoundation.org.
