I was surprised to learn of Randy´s passing recently. I wish I had been able to see him and let him know how much he meant to me as a coach, a mentor, and a friend. Randy... you taught me to ski, you taught me to persevere, and you taught me to never give up when things get hard. I wish i could have explained to you how many times your lessons were all i had in some tough times... but Randy... your lessons were all i needed. Rest in peace... and ya know... i bet i can make it down an intermediate run still.... and every time i ski now, i will look up... remember you... your kind guidance and belief in me when others did not... and thank you again... because in life i have needed to believe... and i learned to believe through you.
