Joseph R. Roth

Joseph R. Roth 77, passed away on Sunday, November 7, 2010. He was born in LaGrange, Illinois on July 27th 1933. He is the son of the late Joseph Felix and Rose Ann (Dein) Roth. He was raised in Naperville, Illinois and was part of the farming community. He was involved in 4H programs where his love for animals began. As a local businessman, he started Naperville Trucking, Joe Roth Truck Parts and Heartland Investors. He was involved in local politics in Will County and Wheatland Township. He was a Board member with the Wheatland Township Plowing Match Association and Scholarship program. Joe was instrumental in raising awareness that reminded children to stay away from strangers by purchasing and then burning John Gacy's paintings. His path took him to McAllen, Texas where he operated DM Roth Inc. and DM Roth Excavating. He is survived by his children, Debra (Roth) Paul of Florida, Denise (Roth) Boyer of Portage, MI, Joseph T. Roth of Naperville, IL, and John R. Roth of Oswego, IL, along with their mother Joyce Wehrli. Also surviving, daughters Donna Marie (Roth) Sharkey of Naperville, IL, and Dawn Elsie Wulf of Mississippi, and son Richard Joseph Roth of McAllen, TX; 13 grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his brother Richard Roth and sister Rose Marie (Roth) Mannion. His sole surviving sister is Cookie (Roth) Gardner. Visitation and funeral took place in McAllen, Texas at Rivera Funeral Home. A luncheon memorial will be held on Sunday, November 14th from 12-4 pm at White Eagle Country Club in Naperville, IL.
