Inez VanSickle Obituary

NEVADA-Inez Irene VanSickle, 86, died Thursday, April 26, 2007 at Rolling Green Village in Nevada. Graveside Services will be held at the Nevada Municipal Cemetery Monday, April 30, 2007 at 10:00 with Rev. Brice Hughes officiating.

Inez was born in Nevada, Iowa on January 22, 1921, to Joseph and Chloe (Myers) VanSickle. She attended Nevada High School and graduated in 1939. She received a gold letter "N" which was awarded to the three highest students in her class. She was employed by the Nevada Telephone Company and the Nevada National Bank. She retired in the 1980's having worked for the bank for 40 years.

Inez loved to travel and took several trips to Europe and Hawaii. She was very generous and included family members in her travels. She loved to bowl, was a member of the "500" Club and received many trophies for "high" games. Her biggest love was the banking business. She was a member of the Nevada 1st Christian Church (Disciples of Christ), the Order of the Eastern Star and Beta Sigma Phi Sorority.

Inez is survived by her brother, Morris VanSickle, and sisters, Mary Horine, Doris Samson and Fern Samson, all of Nevada, and many nieces and nephews.

Her parents and a brother, Joe, preceded her in death.

Bacon Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
