Mark A. Lataster

NEWARK: A service celebrating the life of Mark A. Lataster will be held at 11am, on Monday, April 10, 2017, at the Brucker-Kishler Funeral Home, in Newark. Family and friends may call from Noon until 4pm, on Sunday, at the funeral home, 985 N. 21st Street.

Mark, age 59, of Newark, passed away Tuesday, April 4, 2017, at The James Cancer Center. He was born February 26, 1958, in Columbus a son of the late Anthony M. Lataster and Judy (Thomas) Hazelton, who survives.

Always a simple, hardworking man, devoted to his family, he enjoyed his Harley-Davidson motorcycle, especially riding with his wife and friends. He had been a truck driver all his life, working 15 years in the private fleet at Owens Corning and several years at Hope Timber. He was currently working at Seal-Rite Door, in Hebron. In addition to his interest in motorcycles, he enjoyed hot rods, railroad history and camping.

Left to cherish his memory and devotion are his wife of nearly 31 years, Trudy (Young) Lataster, whom he married on June 28, 1986; his mother, Judy Hazelton; his children, Crystal VanHorn Beers, Ava (Gary) Stratford; his beloved grandchildren, Aaron Beers, Rheanna, Jaiden, Nolan and Corbin Stratford; his mother-in-law Betty Young; brother David Lataster; sister Cassie Hazelton; several nieces and nephews; brother-in-law David (Betty) Young; and many special dear friends, including Dorr Parks, Tim White, Bill Laughlin and Bruce Donovan.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his son Anthony D. Lataster (January 15, 1987-September 23, 2007) and his father-in-law Herman Young.

Trudy ,Crystal and Ava I am so sorry for the loss of Mark ,I remember when I would bring mom to Newark and go out with Trudy and Mark and how much fun we would have.Mom would always say how much she enjoyed that and Mark was the biggest part of that because he was fun to be around.So I no there is some fun happening in heaven now RIP Mark.
