He graduated from Fork Union Military Academy and ECU where he received his MBA and played football. He was a South Central Regional President with Verizon Wireless.
He is survived by his wife, Misty Taylor, one son, Charlie Taylor and one daughter, Madison Dean Taylor, all of the home; his parents, Frederick Dean Taylor of Chesapeake, Va.; Susan Morris of Burgaw; one brother, Hal Blake of Rocky Point; and one sister, Andrea Blake of Burgaw.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, Dec. 27, 2013 at Asbury Methodist Church. The family will receive friends following the service.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the charity of your choice.
