Dear Harrold Family,
My heart goes out to your family at Scott´s passing. I´m sure memories of good times together will always bring you solace and joy. May the closeness of family and friends bring comfort to you now. We got to know Scott over many years as detasslers who worked for Thorpe´s. Several times he came to our end of detassling season international feast parties. He visited us in St. Croix when we lived in the Virgin Islands. We always enjoyed his company and sense of humor. He was very kind and curious about everything. He will be remembered.
When my Dad died, I thought I would cry forever, but I was wrong! The very night I learned of his death and was mourning him, I saw a flash of light in the southern night sky. I thought it may have been a falling star and went on with my sad feelings. Immediately a second light flashed in the northern sky. Suddenly I saw or sensed a HUGE person (so big I could only see as high as his legs!) dancing across the sky. He was leaping up in pure bliss, clicking his heels, sparks flying off each time he did. Immediately I knew it was Dad, I knew he was incredibly free and happy, and I knew he was able to be everywhere at once. I realized my mourning was because I wanted him to be here with me and for me. I knew in my heart I could never want to deny anyone the freedom and bliss I saw. At that instant my mourning stopped. I was happy for him, and I've felt his real presence with me over and over since that night. Look for Scott, he is forever there for you. The signs are everywhere of the immense freedom of movement and joy in existence in the spirit world.
Sincerely,
Peggy and the whole McManus Family

We lived next door to Scott for about 15 years on Cedar drive. I remember he loved riding his lawnmower! Great guy and a fantastic neighbor. He will be missed.

I did lawn and tree treatments for Scott for many years. We had many good conversations over the years. He took a lot of pride in his lawn and we worked together to accomplish that goal. I retired several years ago and miss the nice people like Scott. My condolences Bill Israel

Family of Scott Harrold: Our sympathy and condolences accompany this message. I really got to know his brother J.D. better however after a 'surprise visit from the two of them maybe two years ago we reconnected. We had a sister-in-law at the Farmer City Rehab so one day I stopped by Scott's room for a visit. The one thing I well recall during that visit is that Scott accepted his situation with grace and made the best of it. In Christ's Love, Sandi and Gordon Bidner rural Carlock, IL
