He was born August 29, 1947, in Lake County, OH to George and Jeanne (Foster) Kile.David graduated from Kirtland High School. He received a Bachelor of Science degree from The Ohio State University. His sister, Kathy, preceded him in death. He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Monica (Brandt); daughter and son-in-law Jennifer and Paxton Dellinger of Loveland, OH; son and daughter-in-law Ben and Alaina (McCleery) of Columbus, OH; son and daughter-in-law Ryan and Amy (Connor) of Columbus, OH; grandsons, Ian and Henry Dellinger and William and Nolan Kile; sisters, Patti (Mike) Kidder of Mentor, OH; Vicki Flynt of Knoxville, TN; brother, Steve (Renee) of Kirtland, OH; many nieces and nephews. In addition to being a master carpenter (owner of Village Carpentry), David was a master at spreading happiness and friendship. He was always ready with a joke or a pun. David’s greatest joy in life was his family. They cherish their memories of playing all kinds of games with David: chess, euchre, bridge, poker, ping pong, pool, darts, tennis, basketball, dominoes, and a myriad of board games from Candyland to Settlers of Cataan. David created a space in his home to invite friends to join in the games and created a space in everyone’s heart filled with laughter and affection.David lived with Parkinson’s disease for over 28 years, and his family would welcome contributions to The Michael J. Fox Foundation in David’s memory. In keeping with his generous spirit, David’s remains have been donated for medical research.A private memorial service will be held for the family. Later this year, there will be a reception to celebrate David’s life.
