John Ferrato Obituary
He was the loving father of Diane Jewell (husband Ted) and John (wife Christine); devoted grandfather of 5 and great-grandfather of 5; preceded in death by 4 brothers and 4 sisters; dear uncle and great-uncle of many.
John was born on November 13, 1927 in Wellsville, Ohio and was a resident of Chardon for 38 years, formerly of Cleveland. He graduated from John Adams High School where he was a pitcher and holds the strike out record. John was a mechanical engineer and the owner/operator of Supreme Fixtures Fabricating. He loved fishing, golf and was a clock maker. John loved the Browns and going to the casino where he played the slot machine. He will be remembered most as a mild-mannered, funny, humorous and witty man who loved to tell stories. John was likeable, friendly and had a big heart. He will be dearly missed. John was a wonderful human being who was loved by many.
Cremation by DeJohn Crematory. Celebration of Life Service Thursday, November 16, 2017 at 7 p.m. at the funeral home. Private burial at Maple View Cemetery.
Family will receive friends to pay tribute to and celebrate the life of John at The DeJohn Funeral Home & Crematory of Chardon (formerly Ritondaro), 126 South St. (Rt. 44, south of Rt. 6/Chardon Square) Thursday 4 to 7 p.m.
