Hello. I am not sure if anyone is still following, but thought that I would share something with you. I went to Willoughby Memorial Gardens today ( July 28, 2014) to visit my Mom's grave after an e-check that I forgot to have done sooner. I may sound like a bad person, but I rarely stop up on non holiday/ anniversary/ birthdays. Anyway, when I was leaving I took a different way than usual out of the cemetery. I passed the section that Tyler is buried in and noticed his headstone, although at the time there was nothing about THIS headstone that made it stand out beyond others (it is beautiful, but nothing that should have made me notice because I did not know him). I never ever stop anywhere besides my Mom's headstone because, frankly, I hate cemeteries. I looked and felt compelled to step out of my car and look. My daughter was with me and even said "Mommy, why are we stopping at this one?" I got out and noticed his birth year and turned to leave when I had to do a double take. It was then that I noticed the date- July 28, 2013. Today is the first anniversary of his passing. I am not usually the type of person to believe in supernatural, but I feel that this mat have happened for a reason and thought I would share in case his loved ones are still reading these posts. This was so very odd for me to (1) be at the cemetery in the first place (2) take a different way out and (3) stop at someone's grave that I did not know. I think that I would love to know if something like this had happened with my Mom who died five years ago. I am sorry for your loss and am thinking of your family today.

Tyler was one of my students at Edison. I have always remembered him as a sweet, charming, and talented little boy. His loss will be felt by the many people whose lives were touched by him, but the light that he spread will continue to shine. Your family will remain in my thoughts and prayers.

I didn't know Tyler personally but would see him at mass and I always felt that he was a special person - he had a quality about him that just made you want to be his friend. I saw how he interacted with others and as everyone keeps saying "he was always so kind and had a smile on his face". My heart is broken that I won't be seeing him again but I know Our Lord has set a place for him as He said He would. My sincerest sympathy to Tyler's family and know my prayers are with you.

We are very sorry to hear of Tyler's passing. He loved to fish and bowl so much, every time he came in to bowl he would tell us all about the fish he caught and the type of bait or lure he used to catch them. He was one of the nicest people, always talking to everybody. Very sorry again, we'll miss seeing his smiling face and hearing his stories. I really enjoyed helping him with his bowling.

You were the best neighbor one could ask for. Everytime we saw you outside we would chat, I will truly miss hearing about your fishing adventures, the fun you had bowling and your overall positive outlook. You had such a great heart, were always smiling and were just a real, real good kid. You were the type of person who would snow-blow our walk way without ever being asked, then expect no reward. It will never be the same walking up the sidewalk and not seeing you to chat, you will truly be missed, you were such a kind wonderful person. Thank you for being such a good neighbor to our family, and thank you for being such a good friend.

Dearest Kathy, I knew your son through youth group and my husband and I worked with him at Oktoberfest where he showed his true enthusiasm for life. My husband just told me Tyler spoke of how the girls dressed and if he had a daughter he wouldn't let her dress like that, always a true gentleman. Tyler spoke with me last year about possibly considering the priesthood or deaconship, his love of Our Father was so strong. I know God has Tyler with him right now, I will miss him greatly serving as alter server, his quick laugh, and his excitement about going fishing. Know many lives were touched by your son, he was a real witness to his faith. May God comfort you now and know we will all be celebrating Tyler's life. Although it was too short he made the most of everyday. God Bless your family.
