Carol Felde Obituary

Carol Anne Fileger Felde, 69, South Daytona, passed away peacefully on Monday, August 25, 2008, after a long battle with cancer. Carol was born July 30, 1939, in Erie, Pennsylvania, and raised in North Girard, Pennsylvania. She moved to Daytona Beach, Florida, in 1978. During her short life she was a woman of many talents; she loved spending time with family and friends, loved sewing, crocheting, and gardening. She will be dearly remembered as the best mom, sister, and friend to all who entered her life. Carol was preceeded in death by her parents, Herbert and Florence Fileger; her daughter, Caryn Lee Richards; and her son, Michael "Ernie" Richards. She is survived by her children, Kelly (and Matt) Morrato, Palm Coast. Wendy Richards (and JR Butler), Samsula, Mark Richards, Daytona Beach, and Tricia Hughart, Mebane, North Carolina; grandchildren, Jaime Carver, Steven Mallory, Mitchell Blevins, Keith (and Liz) Blevins, Laura Morrato, Glen James Moratto, and Jennifer Snow; great-grandchildren, Raven Snow and Kayley Blevins; and siblings, Richard "Ralph" Fileger, Patricia (and William) Powell, Linda (and Skip) Podluzne, Janet (and Mike) Ryan, Kathy Fileger, Robert (and Joan) Fileger, Danny Fileger, and William Fileger. A celebration of Carol's life will be held on Wednesday, August 27, 2008, at 5 p.m. at the Butler Barn, 4380 Pioneer Trail, New Smyrna Beach.

I am sorry for your loss of Carol. She and I were very close in our teen age years. I haven't seen her since the death of Aunt Florence. We lost track of her and yet she was right in the area all this time.
