FRANK COLA Obituary


Frank Cola has finally gone home to our Lord and is now united with his loving wife, Irene. He has reached the top of the mountain for eternity and everlasting peace. Mr. Cola passed away on Friday, November 9, 2012. He was born in Queens, New York and has been a longtime resident of DeLand. He was a contractor and President of Cola Homes, Inc. He was a member of St. Peters Catholic Church, the St. Peter's Ultrea Community, Home Builder Association, and the Knights of Columbus. Mr. Cola was a Veteran of WWII. He is survived by four daughters, Sandra Smith, DeLand, Cindi (George) Furse of TN, Barbara (Doug) Flowers of DeLand, Brandy (Mark) Pulaski of DeLand; two sisters Barbara Fairburn of Rockledge, FL and Katie Cataparo of Spring, TX; brother Jack and sister–in–law Laura Cola of DeLand; 15 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren and one great great grandchild. Funeral Mass will be held today (Wednesday, November 14, 2012) at 11:30 A.M. at St. Peters Catholic Church with Father Tom Connery officiating. Friends were received on Tuesday evening from 6 – 8 P.M. at the Lankford Funeral Home. A Rosary was held on Tuesday at 6:00 P.M. with Deacon Bob LaPlante officiating. Interment will follow at DeLand Memorial Gardens. The family would also like to thank Gentiva Odyssey Hospice for all they have done for our father. The family suggests that donations be made to Gentiva Odyssey Hospice in honor of their father. Lankford is in charge.

I just read about your father and wish to extend my love to the family! All of ya'll were my extended family growing up and playing for the Cola Homes Girls Softball team...What fun we had! Both of your parents were a joy to be around, I loved them dearly.
