Haven Vaughan Obituary

Haven Franklin Vaughan, Jr., age 49, of South Daytona, Florida, passed away peacefully at home July 12, 2018. Haven was born in Akron, OH but has lived in the Daytona Beach area most of his life. He is a 1987 graduate of Spruce Creek High School. He worked for SeaRay Boats, was a truck driver for Queen's Dozer, P&S Paving and an OTR driver for Werner Enterprises. Poor health forced Haven to give up his love of driving BIG trucks! We will never know what pain and suffering God may have saved him from going through, but are thanking God that his pain and suffering is no more. Haven's Boston Terrier, Max, preceded him in death and is surely happy to have his Daddy with him again! Haven loved Country and 70's & 80's music and was an expert at remembering song titles and musicians. Just a month ago he was singing Karaoke with his brother, nephews & friends! He loved the beach, boating & fun on Disappearing Island with family and friends. He was a great story teller with a quick wit and a smile & laugh that could light up the room. Haven is survived by his Mother, Patty Walsh & Stepfather Tony Walsh of Port Orange, FL; Father Haven Vaughan, Sr. & Stepmother Sheila McKay Vaughan of Daytona Beach, FL, Brother Jason, Sr., sister-in-law April, Nephews Jason, Jr. & Jonathon Vaughan of Columbia, SC. A Memorial Service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Halifax Humane Society.
