Funeral Services for Marcus Curry, 50, Daytona Bch, who passed on January 9, 2018, will be 2 PM, Saturday, January 20, 2018 at Daytona Deliverance Church of God, with Bishop William Lee, Pastor, officiating. Interment will follow in Sunset Park Cemetery. Calling hours will be from 5-8 PM, today, (Fri, Jan 19) at RJ Gainous Funeral Home and from 12:30 PM until service time at the church on Saturday. Mr. Curry was born on December 12, 1969 in Daytona Bch to Florine Morgan. He attended Volusia County Public Schools and later graduated from Daytona State College with a vocational certificate in cosmetology. He was an avid Miami Dolphins fan and proudly expressed his loyalty during losses. He enjoyed fishing and dancing which he would say "All though I can't dance, don't say I won't dance." He will forever be remembered for all his infectious sayings that kept everyone laughing and continue today. He was a people person and anyone he encountered was a "friend" for life. He was preceded in death by his grandson: Jordan Marcus Curry; grandmother: Lillie Mae Morgan who adored him. His sister: Olivia "Libby" Morgan and uncle: Wayne Morgan. He leaves to cherish his memory in God's loving care, his parents: Napoleon and Florine Fletcher; children: Kyle Cooper, Orlando, FL; Marcus Curry, Sharod Curry, Ebony Curry, Malcolm Curry, Zhane Curry; Fiancé: Kimberly Green; granddaughter: Aria Lawson, Orlando, FL; stepgrandson: A.J. Christian and stepson: A'Shundre Christian; godchildren: D'arria Zellner and Cortez Warren; brother: Darius Fletcher (Ruby) Columbia, SC; sisters: Stephanie Powers, Monica Yarber (Corielle), Sadra Morgan( Joe), Temeka Fletcher(Thomas) Brandon, FL ; aunts: Ernestine Kennick (Leon), Theresa Jackson, Olivia Gentle (Ruppert), Phyllis Mingo; uncle: Samuel Grant; nieces and nephews: Quentin and Talor Powers, Simone Hill, Tre'Kwan Wilson and Eyan Roberson and a host of sorrowing cousins and close friends.
