Alexander Kohut Obituary


Obituary

Alexander Kohut died on June 30, 2005 at HealthPark, Ft. Myers, Florida. He was born on November 16, 1920 to the late Nicholas and Anna Yakiniew Kohut in Stamford, Connecticut. Mr. Kohut was retired from The Stamford Board of Education where he was the Chief Accountant in 1986. In 1987 he came to Ft. Myers for six months and returned to Stamford for the summers. In 1995 he became a permanent resident of Ft. Myers.

In his younger years, he was a member of the Springdale, CT Lion's Club and the Junior Chamber of Commerce. For many years he was on the Republican Town Committee.

He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Marjorie E. Keech Kohut of Ft. Myers, two sons, Lt. Colonel U.S. Air Force Reserves Michael Kohut, (Shirley) of Monson, Massachusetts and Captain U.S. Navy (Retired) John N. Kohut (Martha) of Carlsbad, California and two grandchildren Kristyn E. Kohut of Santa Monica, CA and J. Eric Kohut of Boulder, CO.

Memorial services will be celebrated Wednesday, July 6, 2005 at 3:00 PM at St. Michael's Lutheran Church, Ft. Myers, FL with Pastor Paul Koepchen officiating. Arrangements by the Kiser Funeral Home, 9231 Cypress Lake Drive, Ft. Myers, FL, 239-481-4341.
