Cynthia Haataja Obituary


Obituary

Cynthia "Gitsey" Haataja, born April 20, 1975, died Jan. 12, 1998 in Long Island City, N.Y. A graduate of Bishop Verot High School, she attended Edison Community College and Hunter College in Long Island City, N.Y.

There will be a wake at 7:30 p.m. Friday (TODAY) at St. Raphael's Church on Fort Myers Beach.

Funeral service will be Saturday, Jan. 17, 1998, 10:00 a.m., at St. Raphael's Church. Gitsey has been cremated and will be placed in the Church of St. Raphael's, where she will remain close to her family and can be prayed for always.

Gitsey is survived by her loving family and will be missed always. Survivors include her mother, Judy Haataja of Fort Myers Beach; her father, Gerald Haataja of Fort Myers Beach; her sister, Cheri Conkle of Essex Junction, Vt.; her brother, Jerry Haataja of Fort Myers; and her sister, Alison Haataja of Fort Myers Beach.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made for the benefit of tutoring migrant children. Please send donations to: Catholic Hispanic Social Services, P.O. Box 50301, Fort Myers FL 33994.
