Obituary

Melissa Dawn Cremasco, age 30, of Fort Myers, passed away suddenly Sunday July 12th, 2009. A beloved daughter, sister and aunt, she was taken off this earth too soon. We were all inspired by her independence, desire and will to live. She had many obstacles placed in front of her in her life but met these challenges with her firery personality and a smile on her face.

She is survived by her Mother, Laurie Bendola; sisters and brothers, Jessica (Danny) Hitson, Tara, Jamie and Jessica Bendola, Jaymie Waltz and Michael Dean Jr. She was also an aunt to three nephews and 2 nieces.

She was a dear friend to many others who cherished their relationship with her. "You will be forever in our hearts and minds until we meet again."

A memorial service will be held 6:00 PM Friday July 17th, 2009, with a memorial gathering from 5 6 PM at New Life Assembly of God, 507 Sunshine Blvd., Lehigh Acres, FL 33971.

All of your imperfections made you exactly what you were, a daughter anyone would have been proud of. Whether you were late to everything we were going to, offering to check my oil, or showing your true feelings, (good or bad) you were always someone I wanted near. As I struggle with the words to try to say goodbye, tears flow and memories take me back many years ago to when I first met that beautiful little girl who lived down the street. Over the years you grew to be a member of our family too. You, Kelly and Kory were always together and pretty much ran the neighborhood. So many memories - from the year you all got scooters for Christmas to ice cream and boogie-boarding on the beach. I always considered you the daughter I never had. You will always hold a very special place in my heart. I will never forget you. May you and Mya fly forever on the wings of angels and watch over us. We will miss you more than you could ever know. I have put off writing this til the last day. I dont know what I could possibly say. If I knew you were to read this, I would tell you how much I love you, and how much I will miss your smile. How I think of you all of the time, and sometimes I'll laugh, and lately I'll cry my eyes out. I would want you to know how much of an impact meeting you has been on my life, and my family. Writing to you is probably the toughest for me to do (that’s my excuse for procrastinating this time)… Everything still seems so surreal. I have to admit that I felt closer to you than my own sisters at certain points in my life, and I love your family as if they are my own. You always threw fun little obstacles my way that made the moment so memorable, and it never failed, we always looked back and laughed no matter how mad each of us were at the time… For instance, when you held my luggage captive and I missed my flight - - oddly so, I love you for that. You left so many memories with so many people; it’s absolutely amazing how your infectious personality touched so many lives.

The people who are truly unfortunate are the ones who never knew you. All of us are very blessed to have loved you and your memory will live on.

I am very sad for your lose. Melissa was a great person! When she was only 20 she was coaching my daughter's little league and she had NO children! I will always remember her upbeat personality and how she always had a smile for everyone.
