Wilma Harper Obituary

Wilma "Billie" Harris Harper, 93, of Lynchburg, died on Wednesday April 12, 2023. She was the devoted wife of the late Richard Carroll Harper.

Wilma was born on May 30, 1929, in Watsonville, Calif., a daughter of the late Ira Leland Harris and Violet Gale Harris. She retired as a Material Control Clerk from General Electric/Ericsson.

She is survived by a son, Richard G. Harper and wife, Juanda, of Forest; a granddaughter, Marquis Bailey Harper of Forest, countless family members from Oregon and friends from across the country.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Margaret "Peggy "Louise Albert and a brother, John Edward "Bud" Harris.

A Celebration of Billie's Life will be held at 2 p.m., Saturday, April 15, 2023, at Fort Hill Memorial Park. The family will receive friends Friday, April 14, 2023, from 6 until 8 p.m. at Tharp Funeral Home, Lynchburg.
