I was deeply saddened to learn of John´s passing. I had the privilege and pleasure of knowing John in the years I was a speech therapist in the North Babylon schools, first at the many CSE meetings he chaired, and later when he was principal of DeLuca Elementary. Of the many lovely qualities he held, I remember most fondly his positive optimistic perspective, which seemed to inform all of us who knew him.
I offer my sympathy to all of you in John´s family at this time of loss.

I am so sorry to hear the passing of John. I had the ultimate pleasure of working at William E. Deluca, while John was principal. He was hands down the best principal that Deluca EVER had and will ever see.
Please Except my sincere condolences to the entire Hartz family. My thoughts and prayers are with you. He is up there singing "Danny boy" and entertaining everyone!
