KING - Joseph Patrick, 47, of New York, NY & Hampton Bays, NY (formerly of Kings Park NY), suddenly on January 4, 2016. Beloved husband of Stacey (nee Rickman). Loving father of Mohamed Kamara. Adored son of Donald & Rosemary King. Cherished brother of Lisa Maloney, Bryan Tessler & brother-in-law of Joseph Maloney, Cheryl & Jon Tsakis. Dear son-in-law of Lorraine and the late Theodore Rickman. Loving uncle of Cole Tsakis, Ford Tsakis, Caelum Maloney & Colin Maloney. Joe was a teacher, mentor, friend and father who touched the lives of so many and his influence will live on in their lives forever. The family will receive friends on Saturday and Sunday from 2-4 & 7-9pm at the Butler-Hughes Funeral Home, Inc. 69 Indian Head Rd., Kings Park NY. Funeral Mass Monday 10:30am at St. Joseph's R.C. Church, Kings Park. Cremation private. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations in Joe's memory to either Animal Haven Shelter in NYC or Enlighten the Youth. butler-hughesfuneralhome.com

Joe was a great, great guy and always fun to be around. I recall fondly him and Tommy Jackman and their great crew of friends at Fairfield U. My deepest condolences to his wife and family -- he will be missed by all who knew him. A rare type of guy who you might not have seen in a few years but when you did, you picked up as if it was yesterday...
