I include Joe in my daily prayers for all my family members and friends who have passed on. He was always a kind and helpful friend as a teenager and he never changed. Smart, serious when he needed to be yet always had kindness and caring for all as his foundation.
Our loss but heaven´s gain.
Joe, give our best wishes to our old friends and save a place for us.
Looking forward to seeing you once again in our eternal reward.
Rest in peace Joe

Joe: Your smile, dynamic personality and overall spirit was contagious and obvious to all who saw you. I regret not knowing you better- we could have shared many "lawyer" experience. Hope you are will in that great courtroom in the sky. RIP Stanner.

I have thought of Joe often this past year. Always admired his continuous smile and contagious cheerfulness. He was just a great guy, a tribute to Molloy and to humanity in general. He is certainly missed. RIP Stanner.

Joe and I met in high school and we just hit it off as friends immediately. Exceptionally bright yet easy to talk to, Joe was well liked by everyone he met. He enjoyed being on the track team where he excelled in a highly competitive space. Joe appeared to always be happy and he got along with everyone.
We lost touch after high school but years later we met again when our children played together on sports
teams.
Joe handled legal matters for me over the years and did an outstanding job representing me.
Joe was always so proud of his family and he valued them above all else.
It was my honor and privilege to know Joe and call him my friend.
May God continue to bless him and his family.
Rest In Peace Joe

I am truly sorry for your loss. I met Joseph twice, and have to say, he was a gentle man and a hoot! He always treated me well. He was a strong man beside me for my deposition. I'll miss being able to call him. May you all be okay and stay safe.

I was a classmate of Joe´s at Archbishop Molloy and always enjoyed his big smile and great personality. He had a way of speaking with you as though you were the only person in the room and even though he was definitely one of the "cool" guys in the class he always treated everyone with respect. About 10 years after graduation I went to a closing on a home my wife and I had just purchased and Joe happened to be the closing attorney for the bank. It was a great relief having someone in the room who I had 100% trust in and we had a great conversation after the closing. My sincere condolences to Joe´s family and I will always keep all of you in my prayers.

I went to Archbishop Molloy with Joe. Although I was not in his circle of friends, but I always admired his friendly and outgoing personality, something I'm sure he kept in his adult life. I regret not knowing him better and mourn his loss. He was a great guy. RIP Stanner.

Joe and I were classmates and good friends while we were at Molloy. We lost contact over the years but met again when I was coaching baseball in a Town of Huntington league. We picked up our conversation as if our separation of 25 years had never happened. I had the pleasure of meeting Joe's lovely wife and family. He was much the same as he was as a high school classmate, always happy and engaging. My fond memories of Joe are still fresh in my mind and I am deeply saddened to hear of his passing. My deepest condolences to his family at the loss of a great husband and father, my old friend and a truly refined Christian gentleman.
May God bless him always and I will remember him in my prayers for all times.

I have very fond memories of Joe from HS. He was prince of a guy then, and I can see from the smile in the above photo that the joy he had for life never changed. God bless.
