Peter Ryan Obituary

Ryan - Peter V., of Port Orange, FL, passed away surrounded by family on March 3, 2025. Peter was born in Queens, NY, on March 20, 1929, to Peter V. Ryan, Sr. and Marie Evelyn (Devins). After his discharge from the USMC, he joined the FDNY and moved to Great Neck. He retired as a Captain and in 1987, moved to Tequesta, FL. Peter is survived by his brother, Richard Ryan (Barbara), Westport, CT; his children, Eileen Gaines (Ken), New Smyrna Beach, FL, Tom Ryan (Jill), Massapequa, NY, Sheila Askham (Robin), Arvada, CO, Kathleen Ryan

Riekkinen, Smithtown, NY, and Trish Clarke (Thomas), Massapequa, NY; grandchildren, Kevin (Abbie) Ryan, Chris Ryan (Andrew), Charlie Askham, Christine Kamin (David),

Bailey and Elizabeth Riekkinen, Matthew and Will Clarke; and three great-grandsons. He was preceded in death by parents and his sister, Mary Roberta Lane; his second wife, Theresa

Hickey Ryan; his first wife, Kitty Phillips Ryan; and his son-in-law, Tomi Riekkinen. In lieu of flowers, donations to The Tunnel to Towers Foundation in his name would be appreciated. Private Service.
