Dear Mary and Family
I was saddened to learn of Bill's passing. I saw Bill at the OLQM Reunion. We lived in the same apartment house growing up and knew Bill well. He will be truly missed.

I knew Bill from the demutualization of Equitable where he was a senior officer and I headed up the team from First Chicago. Despite his very high position, Bill was always very hands on and asking all the right questions. He was such a gentleman, and a pleasure to work with.

Dear Mary and McCaffrey family,
I am so saddened tonight to learn that Bill has passed away and want you all to know that I am thinking of you.
Bill and I knew each other from our Equitable lives. I remember his quick intellect, sense of humor and ability to maintain perspective even when circumstances seemed muddy.
His love of his family, generosity to individuals and communities and his Equitable career were extraordinary.
You'll be in my thoughts and prayers -

Dear Mary and family,
Our sincere condolences to you and to all of your family.
Don & I have such wonderful memories of card games and dinner gatherings we would have with you & Bill. Bill always made our evenings more pleasurable when he would hand us Lotto scratchoffs & would take pictures with the getups he had for us. He seemed to take such delight in making others happy. What a very special man. May God bless you and all of your family.
With love, Don & Kathy Cramer

To the family of Bill McCaffrey--
Although I never met Bill in person during my tenure at AXA Equitable, I was always aware of his concern and awareness of everyone in the Equitable family. I enjoyed his yearly birthday greetings, which were just one mark of his humanity.
My thoughts are with your during this time. Know that he has left memories with many.

Dear Mary and Family,
I had the pleasure of knowing Bill for many years at The Equitable. I also recall my many walks with Bob Sheehan and friends on the Long Beach boardwalk, when occasionally, Bill would spot us from the balcony.
Mary, my wife Lucy and I send our sincerest condolences to you and the family and be assured we will keep all of you in our prayers and thoughts during these difficult days.
God Bless all of you.
Most sincerely, Lucy and Al Mullery
