Winnie Green Lambert Long Schneider

Mrs. Winnie Green Lambert Long (Schneider), age 93, of Panama City, Florida, passed away Monday, July 24, 2017, at Covenant Hospice located at Bay Medical Center. She was born in Andalusia, Alabama, on May 6, 1924, to Green F. Lambert and Winnie V. Russell Lambert. She had been a resident of Panama City for most of her life after moving from Fairhope, Alabama, in the mid-40s. She was a long-time member of the Eastern Star and The Order of the Amaranth. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Lynn Haven.

Mrs. Schneider is survived by her three children: Ramsey (Vauna) Long of Pensacola; Patricia (Thomas) Byrd of Panama City and Green (Catherine) Long of Benton, Louisiana; six grandchildren and their spouses, 12 great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild and numerous other relatives.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Green and Winnie Lambert her first husband, Laurice R. Long, Sr., her second husband, Howard Schneider, her granddaughter, Patricia Scott Cowell (Echols) and numerous other relatives and friends.

Mother was a good and Godly woman who brightened the lives of all those who knew her. She will be greatly missed by those of us left behind, but she will be welcomed home to our Lord and Savior by all of her relatives who are there waiting for her. We love you Mom and will continue to think of you often until the time we join you in heaven.

Graveside services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, July 28, 2017, at Evergreen Memorial Gardens, 3733 U. S. Highway 231. Reverend Virgil Tillman will be officiating.
