DOYLESTOWN - B. Robert Mattis passed away Monday, Dec. 18, 2017, in Doylestown surrounded by his family.
Robert is survived by his wife, Karen; son, Robert; daughters, Jackie and Leigh; grandsons, Earl IV, Jake and Nico; and sister, Elizabeth Scicchitano.
A graduate of Philadelphia College of Art, he wrote and illustrated a syndicated newspaper column called "Hints for the Home." He also illustrated articles for The Philadelphia Bulletin and was a commercial artist for John Wanamaker's and other department stores.
He was a member of the Knights of Columbus and a U.S. Army veteran.
